From the desk of Mr Crawley

Happy Friday!

I hope that you've had a great week. I have a few things to update you all on:

YEAR 6 SATs

This week our amazing Flamingos have had to undertake their end of KS2 assessments (SATs). They have gone about this week with a fantastic attitude and have been a real credit to this school. Whatever the outcome we know that you have tried your best and will go onto amazing things. Also, a huge thank you to Mr Wright and Mrs Kilpatrick for their hard work in making the week as enjoyable as possible.

SPORTS DAY

Just a reminder that next Friday is our Sports Day event, and we are delighted that parents can spectate again this year. We will open the school gates at 11:45am for you to have a picnic on the field with your child/ren, before the afternoon track events.

JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS

On Friday 27th May we will be holding a whole school Jubilee 'street party' lunch. Mrs Scott is working on a traditionally British lunch and class teachers are planning a range of fun and exciting activities for their classes.

PARENT INFORMATION EVENING - HOW WE TEACH READING & WRITING

Just a reminder that on Thursday night Miss Raban will be holding our next Curriculum information evening for parents. This starts at 7pm in our school hall.

UNIFORM

Over the past few weeks uniform standards have begun to slip again. Can I please remind you that children should be wearing the correct coloured uniform and PE kits, and that trainers should only be worn on PE days. If you have any questions regarding the correct uniform please visit our website.

SWIMMING

We have been busy working on our plans for swimming lessons. Each year it becomes more and more difficult to find qualified swimming tutors. We are hoping to be in a position next week to announce our intentions.

Lastly, please don't forget to look at the calendar below for all of our upcoming events. I look forward to seeing you next week at one of our many events, starting with at our termly Drop-in.

Have a lovely weekend and see you next week

Mr. C
