Today's newsletter I am handing over to the Friends of Rodings. We are so incredibly lucky to have such a great group of volunteers supporting Rodings and raising amazing amounts of money for the extras in school. Below is their AGM report which was held this week. We love seeing everyone at our events, but we know it is sometimes hard to get to them all. For that reason, I would like to draw your attention to two initiatives, Easy Fundraising and the School Lottery, simple ways to support the school with very little effort.

Friends AGM
The Friends AGM was held on Tuesday evening. It was great to hear about all our achievements of the year and to see some new faces. We were also very sad to see some long standing members step down, we would like to send a big thanks to Laura O’Keefe and Jen Juttner for their amazing work on the committee over numerous years!
The 2025/26 board members are:

Secretary – Hannah Radley
We’re looking forward to lots of great events in the year ahead and spending some of the hard earned money! Once again, we want to thank you all for your ongoing support in whatever capacity that might be.
Bingo Night – Friday 10th October
Tickets are on sale now for our family bingo night (please see poster attached for details). Please ensure you purchase tickets by Tuesday 7th October and email friendsofroding@gmail.com with your food choices. We will need to get the food orders in ASAP!
Firework Night - Thursday 6th November
Save the date! Our fireworks night will be held on Thursday 6th November. More information and tickets will be available soon.
We would like to thank the companies that have already come forward to help sponsor the event, but we are still looking for a few more, this will enable all the profits raised on the night to go directly back to the school and our children.
We are offering 2 levels of suggested donations:
1. £100 - includes advertising on our social media pages leading up to and after the event, plus your business logo on our flyer that will be circulated in the weekly school newsletter and our digital message system (Dojo) to all parents.
2. £250 – includes all of the above plus your business logo or name on the tickets and your business banner displayed at the entrance of the school on the night. You will also get a complimentary family ticket for the fireworks and a personal thank you from the headteacher, Mr Raraty, when he does his announcements on the night.
If you wish to sponsor us please get in touch, we would be happy to provide you with more information if you have any questions. And to enable us to add you onto our advertising, we kindly request a response by Monday 13th October, along with a digital copy of your business logo to friendsofrodings@gmail.com.
