Good luck to Mrs B

Mrs B has now gone off on her maternity leave. We wish her and her family all the best as they await the arrival of their new addition.

Miss Yiu will be covering the SENDCO role during Mrs B's maternity leave. She will be doing one day a week. If you need to make contact about a SEND issue please contact Miss Yiu on miss.yiu@rodihgsprimary.co.uk. Miss Yiu will have reduced capacity so I will also be supporting her in this role.

Have a lovely weekend!

Hello from Rodings Governors!

This was our last meeting of the school year; we began by agreeing the minutes of the last meeting and then Mr Raraty presented his Headteachers report to the board.  We were all very pleased to hear that Rodings have recently had 2 external reviews – both with really positive feedback!  The reviews captured what we do as a school and how well we listen to staff and children. They also understood and observed the school’s ethos which is a real compliment to the school and the children alike.

We talked about our School Development plan and the Rodings Road Map, this will be updated in due course and shared when ready!

We went on to discuss the allocation of teachers for next year and heard the great news that we have some new staff to welcome. We are very excited to meet Miss Emily Curtis and are also very much looking forward to welcoming back  Mrs Magness!  Mrs Magness will be our Forest School lead from September!

While talking about staff we would like to thank Mrs Gates, Mrs Fuller and Mrs Wade for all of their hard work and they will be missed as part of the Rodings Team.

We would also like thank Mr Jinkerson, he has taken to his new role as Deputy Head with great success.

We would also like to wish Mrs B a wonderful time on maternity leave!

Lastly, the Rodings Governing board would like to thank The Friends for their tireless fundraising over the year!

We wish you all a relaxing summer, and we will be back in September to start afresh!

Last Sunday, Ruby, Willow, Stan, Alice and Annie all took to the stage at Harlow Playhouse performing to a sell out audience with their dance group, the Buckhurst Hill and Woodford School of Dancing. Despite the heat, they all coped with rehearsals, outfit changes and multiple dance routines like true professionals! We were so incredibly proud of them all, and enjoyed every minute of their ballet and tap dances ??

Well done to all of you, we are very proud of you :-)
