This week at Forest School, we held our 2nd Annual Woodlympic Games tournament !

The Goslings were very enthusiastic in all the categories, but mudslinging, as always, was a firm favourite !

Well done, Goslings !

Summer Fete

Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered, donated and attended the school fete on Saturday. After the initial drizzle the weather was on our side! We hope you’ll all agree a brilliant time was had by all!

A special thank you goes to all the Rodings staff who gave up their Saturday’s to help. It really does mean so much to the parents and children to see how much you care about the school. An extra special thank you must go to Mr Partridge who was on the field first thing Saturday morning putting up gazebos and stayed until the very last thing was away!

Thank you to all those external companies who helped ensure we made as much as possible for the school including:

Colchester brewery for donating all the Bitter

Matthews Plants for their kind donation and helping source the plants for the plant sale

The Cream Tea Society who donated all the cream and jam for the Tea Stall

Mott and Bailey Vodka for your kind donation

And all the very kind raffle prize donations.

We are still finalising figures but have made over £4k profit which is absolutely wonderful and will go a long way towards our future plans.

The Friends are taking a break for summer now. Our next event will be the AGM in Seltember – more information on that to follow soon. Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your on-going support and commitment to the Friends, your support make our work worthwhile!

For any families leaving the school we wish you good luck for the future and hope to see you at Rodings events very soon. For everyone else, we’ll see you in September! Have a wonderful summer!!

George was invited to take part in his next Karate grading, which he attended over the weekend. He showed great focus and determination throughout the grading and was delighted to pass - he’s now a proud red belt!

Well done George, we are so proud of you :-)
