Art Exhibition

Thank you to all the parents and relatives that came along to the art exhibition this afternoon. It was lovely to see all the amazing artwork that has been created, over the last few weeks, in one place. I hope it gave you a taste of the children's artistic endeavours; why we are passionate about the arts and why the arts are an important part of the curriculum at Rodings.

Strike Action Update

Next week, there will be two further strike days on Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th.  There are some slight changes to class closures compared to last time. Kookaburra class will be open for both days. Toucans will be closed on Wednesday 5th and open on Friday 7th.

Please be aware that the decision to open or close a class is based on the information I currently have and it may change.

Thank you for your understanding!

Have a lovely weekend!

Mr Raraty

End of Term

Just a reminder that we finish at 1pm on Friday 21st July.  The children will have lunch, and then you can collect them to start the summer holidays.

KS2 ATHLETICS FESTIVAL

One Wednesday 28th June we took a team of forty athletes from Key Stage 2 to Carver Barracks to compete in the large schools' athletics competition. We had a fantastic afternoon, and we had a large number of first, second and third places in all track and field events.

We placed fifth overall, and a huge congratulations to our Year 3 and 4 team who came third in their competition.

We have plans to make use of the Barracks more in the next academic year, and to ensure we take part in more competitive sporting events, so keep an eye out as we keep you updated on how we get on.

The Friends would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who came to the Summer Fete.  We raised over £4,800!

We are so grateful to everyone for donating tombola prizes and cakes for the tea tent, we had such a wonderful spread! It was so lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves on the day and helping us to raise lots of money for the school! A HUMONGOUS thank you as always to Mr Raraty, Mrs Paget, Mr Clements, Ms Wardle, Mrs Lewin, Mrs Rigby, Mrs Heywood, Mr Wright, Miss Birch, Mrs Gates, Mrs Cook and all of the Rodings staff for helping us in the build up and on the day.

We also couldn’t run the event without all of the parents and friends of the school who volunteer to help us on the day, so a HUGE thank you to you all too! And finally, to our Friends committee who gave their all to the preparation and running of the event, you are all AWESOME, thank you so very much!
