Ofsted Update

As you are aware, after a long wait, we finally received our Ofsted inspection this week. A phone call we had been expected for a long time. At this time, I am not allowed to reveal the result of the inspection until all the evidence is quality assured. The report will be published in about 5/6 weeks. We will send you the report once we've received it.

I would like to send out a huge thank you for all the support over the last couple of days, whether it was your kind comments and messages, deliveries of cakes and biscuits to keep us going or the offer of a hug. It is really appreciated!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing staff  and Governors who work tirelessly throughout the year to make Rodings a special place to learn and work. I am very lucky to work with a very dedicated and hardworking team.

We will continue to always do our best to make Rodings the best school it can be.

Have a great weekend!
Mr Raraty

Woodwork Club 2023

This year I decided to start a woodwork club at lunchtimes with Mr Clements, and I am pleased to say that it is going extremely well. The children have been using various skills learned during their time at Rodings as well as learning new skills.

The last 2 projects have been:

  • Bird Box
  • Bagatelle Marble Game

We have had them Planning, Measuring, Sawing, Drilling, Nailing and assembling. I am really impressed with there hard work and the effort they are putting in, and we have had some fantastic results.

We are current making a trebuchet (Ancient Catapult) pictures follow.

As a registered charity, every year The Friends submit their financial accounts to the Charity Commission. As part of this process, the accounts need to be independently examined. We are looking for someone who can undertake the independent examination this year and wondered if someone within the school community might be able to help? Further information on who can complete the independent examination is detailed below. If you or someone you know can help please do email us at friendsofrodings@gmail.com

Thank you!
