Effort Cup Assembly

Each half-term we celebrate the achievements of the children with our special Effort Cup Assembly. Each class nominates a child that has gone above and beyond in trying their best, challenging themselves and making sure they are getting the best out of their learning.

This half-term was no exception. It was a delight to hear about each child’s journey and how much they are respected by their class teacher but also their peers.

Congratulations to the following nominees:

Year R - Goslings: Lucas

Year 4 - Woodpeckers: Bella

Year 1 - Robins: Harry

Year 5 - Doves: Chloe

Year 2 - Sparrows: Arabella

Year 5 - Hummingbirds: Albie

Year 3 - Swifts: Arthur

Year 6 - Kingfishers: Isla

Year 3 - Wrens: Oliver

Year 6 - Kookaburras: Lani

And the overall winners of the Effort Cups were:

EYFS/KS1

KS2

Year 1 - Robins: Harry

Year 4 - Woodpeckers: Bella

A special shout out to Goslings Class who attended their first whole school assembly. They sat beautifully and were a credit to Miss Beard and her team.

Unbelievably, we have reached the first half term of the academic year! It has been such a busy time and the children have settled into their new classes so well. Once again, thank you for all your encouragement and support. It is very much appreciated!

Have a lovely half term and see you in November.

We are very proud of Arthur this week. Firstly, he has been chosen as player of the week at football for all his hard work at training and working to rebuild his confidence in matches after breaking his leg over the summer. He worked so hard on the pitch on Saturday and cleared some brilliant shots in defence.

Arthur has also achieved his 50M swimming badge this weekend also which we are very proud of also. Well done Arthur.

Well done boys, we are very proud of you :-)
