Christmas Fayre

Christmas arrived with a bang on Friday with a very successful Christmas Fayre. Once again there was lots of fun and festive cheer with a wide range of stalls and activities for children and adults to participate in. The enterprise stalls with products designed and made by the children were very popular.

A huge ‘Thank you’ needs to go to the amazing Friends committee who put a lot of hard work into making sure that this popular annual event was such a success. The funds raised are much needed by the school and we will make a decision in the new year on what the next big project will be.

Thank you for everyone's support and commitment. It is much appreciated!

Parent Survey

Last week, I launched our annual parents survey, however I feel it may have got lost in the excitement of Christmas arriving last Friday. Your views are really important to us and your feedback does influence our school development plan. For example, our new reporting arrangements were designed based on feedback given in last year's survey. Once completed, the results will be reviewed by the Senior Leadership Team and the Governing Board. I will also publish a summary of results in the new year.

So brew a cup of tea and spend a few minutes completing the survey. Thank you!

This week at Forest School ...

Things were getting a bit festive in the forest this week.  Goslings helped decorate our fire circle with garlands of greenery, pinecones and pomanders, and Sparrows made tiny Christmas trees and hammered stars to make decorations for our forest tree.

Kieran was awarded the Chief Scout Silver Award during his final Cubs session this week. This is the highest award a Cub can earn and shows that you’ve given things a go, played your part, and stuck it out, even when the going got tough. Kieran had to complete his Personal Challenge badge to achieve the award, which included delivering a presentation on bee keeping to the children at Jam last week. This is a big achievement and we are very proud! Well done Kieran x

Wow Kieran, this is fantastic.  We are very proud of you :-)
