It's been another busy week at Rodings with World Book Day and our Mother's Day celebration today. Everyone looked fantastic in their costumes with a lot of thought and effort going into some of the creations, which was great to see.

We also have lots of exciting Friends events coming up over the next couple of months, so please do get involved where you can. As they say, 'Every little helps'. The quiz night is always a very popular, fun  and entertaining evening.

I'm going to leave it to the pictures to do the rest of the talking this week.

Have a lovely weekend!

This week at Forest School...????

As it was World Book Day this week, we read one of my favourite stories from when I was little- Mr Gumpy's Outing. Inspired by this, the Goslings then had a go at making boats from materials we found in the forest- to try and get the toy animals across the muddy puddle! There were so many brilliant ideas, and we did manage to save most of the animals from the mud! We were also visited by lots of impressive worms, and we found and identified lots of primroses.

Well done, Goslings!

Mrs George.

The School Allotment REALLY does need you, if you can spare a small amount of time.

Last year the allotment was a great success, supplying food for the kitchen, raising funds at the summer fayre, but most of all allowing the children to take part in Gardening Club.

The children loved helping out and seeing the plants grow, as well as doing outdoor crafts.

Without additional volunteers this will NOT go ahead this year, which will be a massive shame for the school, the children and all the volunteers who previously worked to get it back up and running.  If you or anyone in your family (uncles/aunts/grandparents) can spare some time on a Wednesday, in particular at lunch time please contact penfrost@yahoo.com

Thank you
