Sports Day - Postponed
We have been watching the forecast all morning and it is still showing a very wet and drizzly day tomorrow. Due to the health and safety reasons of running on a wet and slippery field, plus also the discomfort of sitting in the rain for a couple of hours, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone tomorrow's event.
We appreciate this will be a disappointment, especially to those of you who have made special plans; however in this instance the safety of the children has to come first.
We are now planning on holding our Sports Day on Friday 10th June, and we are all hoping for sunnier weather!
Mrs Scott has done an amazing job at putting together a new lunch for tomorrow. This will now be: chicken and chips, with peas, accompanied by a salad bar and a dessert buffet for afters. All lunch orders that had been placed for tomorrow have been cancelled, so if you require a school dinner then please order tomorrow morning, in the usual manner. We will contact you after half-term if you wish to place an order for lunch, for the new date.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but hope that you can understand why this decision has been made.
