School Council - We Work for You!

The School Council is elected by the children during a vote at the beginning of the academic year. The school council meets regularly to make decisions about how to move the school forward.

News Update:

Newman Holiday Trust:

Plans to raise money for the Newman Holiday Trust have already begun! We are hoping to have a visitor from the charity, who will tell us more about the fantastic charity that we will be fundrasiing for, this year.

After raising such a fantastic amount of money for our previous charity (Guide Dogs for the Blind), we have been given the amazing opportunity to name a puppy! Every child had the chance to vote for a name that they liked, begining with 'R' for Rodings :)

We, the school council, then narrowed those votes down to just two; a boy's name (Rex) and a girl's name (Ruby).

One day soon, the school will get a call to say that a puppy has been born. After the puppy has had some training, it will come into school so that we can all meet! :)

What we have been working on this year so far:

  • We decided which charity our school should support this year and we are pleased to support The Newman Trust Holiday Trust.
  • We attended some School Council Training. This emphasised our important role within the school!
